Ingredients

Topping

  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tablespoon Margarine

Decoration

  • Candied Cherries

Preparation

  1. Lightly grease a 9in x 13in baking dish.
  2. Melt margarine/butter, sugar and syrup together in a large saucepan over a low heat.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Press mixture into the baking dish and smooth the top.
  5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes or until just golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and loosen around the edges with a knife.
  7. Allow to cool.

To finish

  1. Melt the chocolate and margarine together and spread over the baked bars, while still in the dish. Allow to cool and chocolate to set.
  2. Mark into fingers or squares and decorate with cherries.
  3. Remove from dish when chocolate has fully hardened.
